Bowling at 300 New York

The Ai crew headed down to Chelsea Piers for some bowling last Thursday – completely disregarding the office imperative regarding glass houses.

I personally decided to take a humane approach with the pins, leaving a near perfect homeostasis in their natural parquet habitat.  Other members of the team were not so kind:

Dave “Quiet Thunder” Napolitan put up a stellar debut game of 162.  This barely edged out the night’s most consistent act, Jess “The Paleo Pin Pulverizer” Levy, who treated the tenth frame like her dinner plate, laying down straight turkey.

Check out the pictures on our Flickr stream.

Game bird with a bald head and a rich, creamy exterior

Retain moisture… maintain texture… portion out fairly… There is more pressure on the ‘carver’ than there is on the ‘cooker’.

Uncle Wertheimer was elected house carver this year and gosh, did he take this bird to town. We couldn’t be prouder. It was a flawless execution. An absolute pleasure to watch.

Oh, what a festive afternoon it was. We give thanks to oversized, chocolate game birds and we give thanks to our dear friend Joanne for bringing this domesticated mocha creature into our lives.

How to fix your gadgets

Ever feel like you’re doing the same silly things to fix things the same things over and over? Ever read forums where 10 people enthusiasticly post the same solution that you’re already trying to find an alternative for? Well, no need to post on forums any more, your answers are all here.

How to fix:

  • Windows XP - reinstall
  • Macs – delete preferences, fix disk permissions (really?)
  • Windows Vista – install Windows 7 (really!)
  • Linux – you’re already capable of helping yourself. Move along.
  • iphone – you’re holding it wrong
  • blackberry – delete service books, wipe data
  • android – root your phone, install a community ROM, then complain to Cyanogen
