Junior Project Manager

Alexander Interactive, a premier ecommerce, design, and development agency, is looking for a junior project manager to join our team. Ideal candidates seek fast–paced, challenging work with a team of industry veterans and exposure to market–leading clients in a variety of sectors.

Our project managers lead and manage interactive engagements, direct creative and technical teams, interact with clients, and are responsible for producing on–time, on–budget projects. PMs are client–facing as well, with account–oriented activity that allows for tighter, more responsive interaction. The junior project manager will lead small projects while supporting senior staff on larger initiatives.

Responsibilities:

• Plan projects, including requirements definition, scope, deliverables, schedule, and budget
• Develop and continually manage project timelines and budgets
• Ensure the delivery of on–time, on–budget projects with optimal quality output
• Hold weekly project status meetings and author weekly production status reports
• Manage the output of designers, programmers and information architects on a per–project basis
• Serve as Ai’s main client liaison on a daily basis through meetings and written correspondence
• Aid senior project managers in interfacing with senior clients
• Contribute to overall quality of Ai’s process

Skills/Qualifications:

• Minimum 1 year of experience in website development, preferably in an agency environment
• Sound organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail
• Knowledge of project management principles, methods and techniques
• Strong business writing and technical writing skills
• Ability to delegate tasks and responsibilities to inside and outside resources
• Strong familiarity with the state of the web from a business and aesthetic perspective
• Project planning experience
• Self–motivated and able to work with limited supervision
• Solid understanding of and dedication to the interactive medium
• Proficiency with MS Office software; MS Project knowledge a plus
• Familiarity with development technologies a plus: Java/Hibernate/Spring; Django/Python; OfBiz (Open for Business Project), Linux, Subversion, PHP/Symfony; MySQL
• Four–year undergraduate degree
