Mike Piastro

INFORMATION ARCHITECT

Michael Piastro is the Information Architect at Alexander Interactive, helping clients plan how their websites should work to achieve their business objectives. While at Ai, he has served as the lead Information Architect for clients including the Internet Retailer Top 400 sites, FragranceNet, SteinerSports, Action Envelope, BedBathStore, and Multichannel Merchant award-winning Action Envelope. Michael has been planning and architecting websites for over 8 years.

Prior to joining Ai, Michael worked as the sole Information Architect for the interactive division of Harte-Hanks, one of the Advertising Age Top 20 Direct Marketing Agencies and Top 50 Interactive Marketing Agencies. While at Harte-Hanks, Michael architected projects for clients including Pfizer, Genentech, GSK, Oppenheimer Funds, Jiffy Lube, and Mercedes.

In 1998 Michael co-founded Davanita Design, an Interactive development firm, with offices in Manhattan and Ithaca, New York. The company received venture capital investment and was acquired by Avatar Technology in 2001, where Michael was the Director of NY Operations.

Michael attended Cornell University, majoring in Government at the School of Arts and Sciences, and studied with the fledgling Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) Group. He has never met most of the Ai team.
