Ai helps DonorsChoose reach more high-need students across the US.

DonorsChoose, an innovative organization that helps people directly impact the lives of students in high-need public schools, chose Ai to help them achieve an ambitious goal: making DonorsChoose available to every public school in the United States.

In order to reach this national audience, they needed a new software platform to support the growth. Ai knew that the new system would need to handle not only the increased additional work and traffic, but the spikes that occur after media events.

To achieve this handling capacity, Ai created a more powerful server architecture with Cisco load balancing and multiple servers, and rebuilt their existing web application using JSP, Spring, Hibernate, and Postgres. The new application will even empower DonorsChoose employees to make more content changes themselves.

This newly upgraded system not only makes it easier for Ai to develop new functionality in the future, but it helps DonorsChoose grow while keeping their costs down.
