Ai Relaunches Pepperidge Farm Sales Portal

July 19, 2007

Alexander Interactive recently launched the redesign of PFSDA.com, a Pepperidge Farm intranet supporting its independent sales distributors, otherwise referred to as SDAs.

Ai approached this redesign with the user's goals in mind. The new site architecture pulls content to the forefront with immediate impact to the SDAs' day to day functions relevant to their specific regions. Now, the following capabilities are at their fingertips:

  • Product and promotions updates that affect sales and distribution planning
  • Customer service tips addressing equipment issues, billing questions and FAQ
  • News announcements on upcoming events
  • Access to procedural manuals and a bulletin-board style area to buy or sell a distribution route

The new look and feel reinvigorates Pepperidge Farm's brand presence from farmhouse nostalgia to modern, polished and professional, conveying a strong sense of business purpose while retaining the familiar warmth of the Pepperidge Farm brand.

"Pepperidge Farm is extremely pleased with the "Go Live" version of the new and improved PFSDA.com website," said Kyle Jordan, Pepperidge Farm Director of Distributor Development. "It is user friendly, interactive, and to date it has been well received by all that have logged on. Ai diligently worked on a tight timeline without cutting any corners, and delivered a quality, engaging website as the result."

On the backend, Ai replaced the existing CMS with a flexible, open-source platform which allows multiple managers to reach SDAs with region-specific messages, provide users with a rich experience with multimedia upload capabilities, and build a stronger peer-to-peer culture with events and profiles of various sales distributors. This new platform, built in Django, also allows Pepperidge Farm to easily manipulate categories and the filtering and expiration of content.

With this redesign, Ai helps Pepperidge Farm uphold its commitment to help their SDAs be "In business for themselves, not by themselves".
