Ai Helps Drive DonorsChoose National Expansion
Site Features New Security System to Support Increased Usage
To help DonorsChoose expand nationally to all 50 states this fall, the National Expansion launch has prepared donorschoose.org with the necessary hardware and security systems to support this increased usage. In addition, several new features were implemented to improve the customer experience.
"DonorsChoose.org is grateful to Ai for helping us to prepare our web systems for our upcoming nation-wide expansion," said Oliver Hurst-Hiller, DonorsChoose Chief Technology Officer. "Ai's efforts to prepare and secure DonorsChoose.org's infrastructure and user experience has been invaluable!"
The front-end features include a new DonorsChoose logo and improved project view pages. In addition, the new security modifications include encrypted passwords, an improved password reset process, and new login-as-user functionality for staff to enter donor and teacher accounts. Anti-hacking measures have also been put in place, plus many more security-related enhancements.
DonorsChoose is dedicated to addressing the scarcity and inequitable distribution of learning materials and experiences in our public schools. Since 2000, DonorsChoose has grown from an experiment at a Bronx public school to a thriving organization serving 3,481 public schools. Donorschoose envisions a nation where students in every community have the resources they need to learn. To learn more about DonorsChoose, please visit www.donorschoose.org.
