Amex Members, Time.com Readers Choose DonorsChoose

Alexander Interactive is proud to announce the notable success of long-standing client DonorsChoose, a non-profit organization that connects everyday donors with students in need of school supplies. After its recent appearance on ABC World News, DonorsChoose has climbed its way to the top in both the American Express Members Project competition and a Time Magazine Online's ranking of the top 50 Websites.

The American Express Members Project is a new initiative that gives card holders the chance to vote on various submitted projects that all positively impact the world around us. DonorsChoose is currently in first place of the "Top 25 Projects" round with over 3,000 votes, and if they win, 100% of the award proceeds, up to $5 million, will go to classroom projects posted on DonorsChoose.org, and benefit up to 325,000 students across America.

In addition to the prestigious spot within the AMEX competition, DonorsChoose found its way onto Time Magazine's online list of Top 50 Websites, one of Time.com's picks for "the Net's most useful and amusing clicks". Based on average user rating, DonorsChoose.org is currently the fifth "most interesting site of the year".

"DonorsChoose.org is honored to have been selected by TIME.com as one of their 50 Best Websites of 2007," said Oliver Hurst-Hiller, CTO of DonorsChoose.org. "We are grateful to Alexander Interactive for its role in helping us to develop our award-winning website."

Ai has been involved with several generations of the DonorsChoose site, when it was just a local organization. These distinguished accolades affirm the success of the site and the business model that Alexander Interactive and DonorsChoose have worked so hard to uphold.

DonorsChoose is dedicated to addressing the scarcity and inequitable distribution of learning materials and experiences in our public schools. Since 2000, DonorsChoose has grown from an experiment at a Bronx public school to a thriving organization serving 3,481 public schools. Donorschoose envisions a nation where students in every community have the resources they need to learn. To learn more about DonorsChoose, please visit www.donorschoose.org.
