Technology Managers Forum Recognizes Best Practices in IT Management
NEW YORK - (BUSINESS WIRE) - Technology Managers Forum www.techforum.com, the professional association for enterprise IT managers headquartered in New York City, has announced the winners of its 14th annual Best Practice Awards program.
The Best Practice Awards are presented at Technology Managers Forum's 15th annual conference, TechForum's Security Forum: Emerging Trends in Enterprise Security, held October 22nd in downtown Manhattan.
TechForum's Best Practice Awards program, founded in 1996 by executive director Priscilla Tate, was designed to recognize and promote excellence in the business management of technology. The term Best Practices refers to processes proved to be the most effective means of implementing a project, and which are significant in that they are innovative and can be replicated. The Best Practice Awards program is particularly distinguished by the caliber of its judging panel, which features practicing Fortune 1000 technology managers.
Technology Managers Forum's 2008 Best Practice Awards honorees include the following organizations: in the Technology Innovation category, the first place winner is Citi and technology partner Alexander Interactive. In the Business Process Improvement category, there are two first place winners: Deutsche Bank AG; and Bharti Airtel, with technology partner IBM India Private Limited. Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield of New Jersey receives an honorable mention in the Business Process Improvement category, as does Prudential Douglas Elliman along with technology partner Gig Werks. In the Information Security category the first place winner is the United States Postal Service. In the Storage Management category, Hilton Grand Vacations Club along with technology partner 3PAR is the first place winner, with Grey Healthcare Group and technology partner FalconStor Software receiving an honorable mention.
All winners were chosen from nominations from organizations in the United States, Europe and Asia. As Technology Managers Forum’s Best Practice Awards program moves into its 15th year, it upholds its significant contribution to the establishment of benchmark best practices for IT management in large enterprises.
