Internet Retailer Debuts First New Website in Nine Years

Design by Ai brings sweeping change to leading publication

Alexander Interactive, a leading digital strategy, design, and development firm, launched today the new website for Internet Retailer, the leading destination for the ecommerce and e-retailing industry.

The new site modernizes IR, the flagship of Vertical Web Media. It includes innovations and improvements front and back.

Internet Retailer Logo Readers of IR's website will encounter a fresh design that emphasizes Internet Retailer's unique content and daily news for the online retail industry. Daily news is easier to find and browse; related information and commentary are automatically displayed.

Built on AiCMS, a Django-based publishing system, internetretailer.com includes a modular custom layout and ecommerce on the Magento open-source platform. The system is easy to use and brings a host of new administrative options to the site's editors.

The new internetretailer.com embraces a contemporary font and color palette that includes a rebranding of Internet Retailer in a fresh, modern style.

"We worked in close partnership with the talented team at Alexander Interactive," said Jack Love, president and CEO of Vertical Web Media. "They invested the time to understand precisely the kind of site we wanted and made the effort necessary to achieve it flawlessly."

"We couldn't be more proud to have redesigned IR's website," said Alex Schmelkin, president of Ai. "We have a long affiliation with the ecommerce community and the IR 500. After participating in Internet Retailer's conferences and publications, it was a privilege for us to be IR's partner for this project."
